Auston Woods Apartments October 2016 Newsletter

Resident Amenities and Service

We love being able to provide exceptional service to our residents. So that we may continue to provide a high level of service, we would like to remind residents that services and amenities are for Auston Woods residents only.

This includes, but is not limited to, pool/fitness center/business center access, DVD library, and package acceptance.

We welcome you to bring guests to enjoy our amenities: each resident is limited to two guests and the resident must be present.

DVDs will not be released to non-lease holders, and packages received for parties not named on the lease agreement will be returned to sender.

Monster Mash

Join us at the Welcome Center on Wednesday, October 16, 2016 from 5:30 – 7:30pm for our Annual Monster Mash. This year, we will have a DJ, food, games, candy, costume contest and other spooky activities for all to enjoy!

Hope to see everyone there! Would you like to see more events like this in the future, or do you have ideas to make next year’s Monster Mash even better? Email your Community Activity ideas to Ashley at ahkuzma@hhhunt.com.

Turning on the Heat

As the weather cools down, many of you will be turning on your heat for the first time. To give the unit time to adjust to the change, please leave the unit “Off” for 5 minutes when switching from “Cool” to “Heat”.

Because the heating elements have been unused for several months, dust may have accumulated on the element. The first time you turn on the unit, the dust may heat up and cause smoke and a burning smell.

This is normal. If the smoke detector goes off, you may need to open the windows to allow the apartment to clear out. For normal use, however, please do not have the heating/air conditioning unit running while the windows are open, as this can cause additional wear and tear to the unit.

Second Harvest Food Bank

We will be hosting a food drive for the local Food Bank – All non-perishable items can be dropped off at our office between November 1, 2016 – November 20, 2016. If you have any suggestions for future charity events, please contact Ashley Kuzma (704) 597-9199 or via email ahkuzma@hhhunt.com.
